With no regard for international fallout, mass death or consequences.
The decision by Donald Trump to launch a large-scale military attack on Iran without congressional authorization or approval from the United Nations has set off a chain reaction whose consequences are still unfolding. While the administration attempted to frame the operation as decisive and necessary, the most immediate and visible effects have been civilian suffering, diplomatic strain, and growing unease among Western allies who now find themselves balancing strategic partnerships against principles they have long professed to defend. Looming over all of it is a deeper concern: beyond the opening salvos and dramatic rhetoric, there appears to be no clearly articulated end game.
